# Lock Method

* In this function, users can choose an app authentication method.
* Condition: passcode is enabled.
* To access the function, please follow the steps below.

**Step 1**

* On the Security screen, tap on "Lock Method" --> Display a popup to choose an authentication method for the app, including: 
  * Passcode: only use the passcode.
  * Passcode/Biometric: use both a passcode and biometrics (Face ID, Fingerprint).                                                      ![](/files/zJnZwZa9mWexoWiUSpdg)

**Step 2**

* Tap the option the user wants.
